WATERLOO - Prekindergarten-age programs are being offered through the Waterloo Community Schools in partnership with Tri-County Head Start, Community United Child Care, Learn & Play, A to Z, and Grin and Grow day care centers.
Prekindergarten registration for Waterloo students will be Tuesday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Elk Run Early Childhood School, 300 McCoy, Elk Run Heights, or May 13 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Tri-County Head Start, 205 Adams St., Waterloo.
Children need to be 4 on or before Sept.15 to participate in the Waterloo Community Schools prekindergarten programs.
Parents will need to provide the following documentation to register their child: proof of address, copy of medical insurance card, a copy of their current physical, child's immunization record, proof of child's age, and proof of income. Parents are encouraged to bring a copy of their child's dental records, but this is not required for registration. A copier is available if you cannot provide copies of the documentation requested.
Families who have completed a prekindergarten application do not need to attend unless all required documentation has not been provided. For enrollment, call 235-0383, or Charletta Sudduth, Waterloo Community Schools Early Childhood Coordinator, at 433-2048,
