WATERLOO - Two people were sent to the emergency room after their motorcycle collided with a car Saturday afternoon.

John Bailey, 63, and Katline Woods, 16, both of Waterloo, were transported to Allen Memorial Hospital with nonlife threatening injuries, according to a Waterloo Police Department accident report.

Woods was listed in stable condition as of Saturday night, and Bailey had been discharged from the hospital, according to Allen officials.

The pair were traveling eastbound on a 2006 Harley-Davidson motorcycle on Mulberry Street at around 4 p.m. when a vehicle driven by Michelle Byrd-Williams entered the roadway going southbound on East Ninth Street, according to the report.

Bailey, the driver, reportedly tried to avoid Byrd-Williams' 2003 Buick Century and laid the bike down. It struck the front end of the vehicle.

Byrd-Williams did not sustain injuries, according to the report. She was cited for failure to yield while entering the roadway.
