WATERLOO - A Waterloo teenager was wounded following gunfire at a park Thursday night.

Waterloo police were called to Sullivan Park in the 1300 block of East Fourth Street shortly after 10 p.m. and found Lance Capree Brooks with a gunshot wound.

Brooks, 18, who was located in the park's shelter, had been shot once in the leg, police said.

Paramedics with Waterloo Fire Rescue took him to Allen Hospital for treatment, and officers said his injuries don't appear to be life threatening.

No arrests have been made, and the matter remains under investigation.
