ELMA - An Elma man died Tuesday morning in a weather-related accident west of Elma.

Linus Lentz, 70, died at the scene of the accident, which occurred about 8:25 a.m. four miles west of Elma on County Road B17.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, Lentz, driving a Chevy Blazer, was eastbound on B17 crossing the Wapsipinicon River Bridge when he lost control of the vehicle and rolled three times. Troopers said the bridge was 100 percent ice-covered at the time.
