WATERLOO - Police took two teenagers into custody following a break-in at a pawn shop this morning.

Officers were called to an alarm at Mr. Money, 920 La Porte Road, shortly after midnight and found someone had broken the window and entered the business.

Nearby in the 1900 block of Bourland Avenue, they found people near a van.

Damontre Burt, 16, of 1744 Wakonda Drive, was taken into custody for third-degree burglary.

The alleged getaway driver, Jarius Laburt Jackson, 19, of 1644 Woodmayr Drive, was arrested for aiding and abetting third-degree burglary and driving while suspended.

He was also arrested for carrying weapons and possession of marijuana after drugs and a set of brass knuckles were found in the van, according to court records.

A third suspect fled from police.

It wasn't immediately clear if any items were removed from the business.
