Breakfast with Santa

Location: Heritage Farm, 7731 Zaneta Road, Hudson (3 miles south and west of Hudson on D-35)
Details: Rides start at 9 a.m. and run every 45 minutes with the last departure at 1:30 p.m. Gentle horse-drawn sleigh ride to a rustic cabin in the woods. There, families will be greeted by Santa's helers with hot cocoa, milk, juice or coffee, a crackling fire, homemade cinnamon rolls and Santa. Then it's off to PaDaddy's 100-year-old barn for a special farm animal tour and fun in the hayloft.

Details: Santa hours through Dec. 9 at College Square Mall are noon to 5 p.m. today and 5 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 8 p.m. Saturdays; Santa hours at Crossroads are during mall hours.
'Worth Repeating: Recreating Vintage Quilts'

Holiday Pops-A Mannheim Holiday

Location: Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center, Cedar Falls
Details: Show by the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony Orchestra. This year's show will feature the wildly popular music of Chip Davis and Mannheim Steamroller. Joining the orchestra will be local vocal standout Lis March and the energetic and entertaining Cedar Harmony Chorus of Sweet Adelines International.

Details: Waterloo Community Playhouse production. Nine-year-old Ralphie wants an official Red Ryder 200-shot Carbine Action Range Model Air Rifle for Christmas. Play is based on the movie by the same name.

Details: The College Hill Neighborhood Association will host its holiday tree lighting ceremony. There will be a singalong, and hot chocolate and cookies will be served.
