NEW HAMPTON - A boil order remains in effect for the city of New Hampton.

A water main break on East Hamilton Street on Saturday caused the city to go without water for three hours, New Hampton Fire Chief Steve Geerts said. The problem is fixed, but residents are advised to boil water for consumption until further notice, Geerts said late Saturday.

Geerts did not know what caused the water main break.
