EVANSDALE - Police continue to investigate the death of an Evansdale man who was found in a neighbor's driveway Saturday.
An autopsy was scheduled for Roy Lucas, 62, but the results weren't available, said Police Chief Randy Weber.
He said authorities are trying to determine the exact cause of death and are also looking into the possibility Lucas collapsed before he was struck by the pickup truck.
According to Weber, Lucas was at the home of his friend, Richard Mosley, 455 Morrell Ave. and then left to walk home.
A short time later, Mosley got in his vehicle to drive to the store.
When he started backing out, he felt one of the tires hit something and got out to look, Weber said.
Lucas was found behind the vehicle unresponsive and not breathing. Paramedics took him to Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo where he was pronounced dead.
Mosley was briefly detained but wasn't charged and was later released, Weber said.
