DECORAH - Two people were injured in an accident on Highway 9 east of Decorah Friday morning.
Jennifer Moellers, 23, of Lime Springs, was air-lifted to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minn., with unknown injuires. She was the driver of a Pontiac Bonneville.
The driver of the other car, a Honda CRV was Gary Anfinson, 58, of Denver, who also was injured. He was taken to Winneskiek Medical Center in Decorah.
Conditions on either driver were not available.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the accident occurred at 11:45 a.m. at the intersection of HIghway 9 and County Road W4B.
Troopers said Moellers was stopped at a stop sign on W4B while Anfinson was eastbound on Highway 9. There was an eastbound semi that was going to turn right onto W4B from Highway 9 and Anfinson was passing the turning semi. Moellers pued out from the stop sign in the path of Anfinson's vehicle.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
