NEW HAMPTON - Authorities are looking for someone - probably with a tractor and loader - who helped themselves recently to gravel off a county road.
The theft was reported Friday in the area of Gilmore Avenue and 180th Street, according to the Chickasaw County Sheriff's Office. Authorities value amount of gravel taken at about $200.
In a statement about the incident, Lt. Todd Miller reminded residents that removing gravel from roadways is a crime.
