FREDERICKSBURG - The Chickasaw County Sheriff's Office is investigating burglaries to City Hall and a nearby business.

Deputies were called to City Hall around 8:20 a.m. Friday, after the burglary was discovered.

Shortly afterward, another burglary call was reported by Countryside Chiropractic Services, 111 W. Main St.

The sheriff's office said an undisclosed amount of money was taken from both places. Deputies recovered some evidence of the burglaries near a walking trail on the west side of town next to the U.S. Highway 18 bridge.
