DAVENPORT - Drivers are being asked to avoid travel on Iowa's Great River Road scenic byway from Clinton south to the Missouri border due to flooding from Iowa rivers and the Mississippi River, and several bridge closings and lane restrictions.
The Iowa Department of Transportation said the travel restriction includes these cities.
Clinton, Camanche, Folletts, Princeton, LeClaire, Panorama Park, Riverdale, Davenport, Buffalo, Montpelier, Fairport, Toolesboro, Oakville, Kingston, Burlington, Wever, Fort Madison, Montrose and Keokuk.
Bridge lane restrictions or closings due to flooding include U.S. 61 bridge in Fort Madison, U.S. 34 bridge in Burlington, U.S. 136 Bridge at Keokuk, Iowa 92 bridge at Muscatine.

Iowa's Great River is part of the 3,000-mile long network of federal, state and county roads that stretches the length of the Mississippi from Canada to the Gulf of Mexico.
