DECORAH - A 23-year-old woman was in critical condition Friday after a two-car accident in Winneshiek County.

Jennifer Moellers of Lime Springs remains at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minn., hospital staff reported late Friday.

The accident occurred shortly before noon at the intersectino of Highway 9 and W5B east of Decorah, according to the Iowa State Patrol.

Moellers obeyed a stop sign on W5B and then pulled into the path of a vehicle eastbound on Highway 9, trooper said. The driver of the eastbound vehicle, Gary Anfinson, 58, of Denver, was passing a semi turning right onto W4B.

Ainfinson was treated and released from Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital, according to hospital staff.
