WATERLOO - Six people have been arrested in connection with an incident at a mobile home early Monday.

Police were called about 3 a.m. to 3103 Cedar Knoll Circle on a report of an assault in progress. Prior to the officers' arrival, six people involved in the alleged incident had fled the area in a vehicle, which was stopped by a Black Hawk County Sheriff's deputy near the scene.

During the investigation, police learned that the six allegedly conspired to go to this residence with intentions of robbing the occupants of cash and drugs. The suspects were armed with a baseball bat, a hammer and a PR-24 police baton.

Once in the residence, the suspects allegedly assaulted two occupants, but did not locate any drugs or cash, police said.

The two occupants received minor injuries, which did not require hospitalization.
