DES MOINES - Due to a throat injury suffered by Cinderella's lead singer, Foreigner will now be replacing Cinderella at this year's Iowa State Fair. Previously announced special guest Night Ranger will open the 8 p.m. show.
Those who have already purchased tickets for the Cinderella/Warrant/Night Ranger concert through ticketmaster.com or through Ticketmaster charge-by-phone will receive an automatic refund. All other ticket holders must return to their original point-of-purchase to receive a refund as all tickets will be disabled, Iowa State Fair marketing director Lori Chappell said.
Tickets for the Foreigner/Night Ranger concert, which cost $25, will go on sale Saturday, July 12 at 9 a.m. through all Ticketmaster outlets. All tickets are reserved seating. Beginning July 7, the Fair's Ticket Office will be open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Mondays - Fridays and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays for walk-up orders only (no mail, phone or fax orders). Convenience charges will apply to all tickets. Grandstand tickets do not include admission to the Fair.
