WATERLOO - The Hawkeye Chapter of the American Red Cross is deploying an Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) and two volunteers to assist with the potential landfall of Hurricane Gustav.

Rodney Hamer of Cedar Falls and Michael Hogan of Waverly are headed to Montgomery, Ala., to await landfall of the hurricane.

They will be departing this morning at 9 a.m. from the Hawkeye Chapter, 2530 University Ave.
