MASON CITY - Jefferson Lines will begin a new bus route from Mason City to Waterloo starting July 1.
The new service will include stops in Charles City, Waverly, Cedar Falls and Waterloo.
In Waterloo, Jefferson will make connections with Burlington Trailways for Dubuque, Chicago, Cedar Rapids, Iowa City and many other destinations.
"We have had many requests for this service and we are pleased and excited to expand our network in Iowa," said Charlie Zelle, CEO and president. "The new service will greatly reduce travel times between Mason City and points east such as Dubuque and Cedar Rapids."
Jefferson also provides Mason City with six daily schedules that serve Minneapolis, Duluth, Des Moines and Kansas City with connections to thousands of destinations in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
The Jefferson Lines Bus Terminal in Mason City is located at the Mason City Municipal Airport.
