HAMPTON - Few details were being released on a motocycle crash on Highway 18 in Floyd County Friday afternoon.

The driver of the motorcycle was John Witchcraft, 62, of Hampton. The report from the Iowa State Patrol called the accident a personal injury accident, but did not state to which hospital Witchcraft was transported.

The accident occurred about 1:40 p.m. on Highway 18 at the 215 mile marker. Troopers said the motorcycle was westbound on the highway when it drifted off the road and into the median. The driver went over the handle bars, the report said.
