WATERLOO - The Republicans of Black Hawk County are hosting their second annual Lincoln Dinner and Meet the Candidates event Sunday at the Waterloo Center for the Arts, 225 Commercial St. in downtown Waterloo.

Five GOP gubernatorial candidates will be present, including Bob Vander Plaats of Sioux City; State Sen. Paul, McKinley, Christian Fong of Cedar Rapids and State Reps. Christopher Rants and Rod Roberts.

Other guest speakers include Republican Party of Iowa Co-Chairman Jim Kurtenbach; Bernardo P. Granwehr, chief of staff to State Auditor David Vaudt; and Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey.

The event will begin with a "meet and greet" at 4:30 p.m., buffet dinner beginning at 5 p.m. and the program beginning at 5:30 p.m..
