WATERLOO - The Twin Sports Group has canceled the Cedar Valley River Jam, a two-day music festival that was to held at Riverfront Stadium Friday and Saturday. The cancellation is due to a combination of less than favorable pre-sold tickets and effects of this summer's flood.
"We apologize for the cancellation of this event," said Twin Sports Group President John Marso. "A combination of slow ticket sales and ongoing effects of the flooding has forced us to make this very difficult decision. The floods of 2008 did not allow us to promote the fesitval properly. With the flood damage we were unable to put 100 percent of our efforts behind the festival."
All pre-sold tickets will be fully refunded. If tickets were purchased via www.cedarvalleyriverjam.com, a refund will be made to the credit card that purchased tickets. All other pre-sold tickets for the festival may be mailed in for a full refund at the following address:
