ROCKWELL - An Iowa Falls man has died as a result of injuries he suffered in a Tuesday morning traffic accident south of Mason City.
Julius "Juice" Winter, 55, Iowa Falls, died Tuesday at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
Winter was injured in an accident at the intersection of Highway 65 and 180th Street near Rockwell.
The accident happened at 11:18 a.m. Tuesday.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, Winter was northbound on Highway 65 when he crossed the center line and sideswiped a truck driven by 32-year-old David Lee Olson of Garner.
Olson's truck flipped, coming to rest on its side in the east ditch.
Winter was taken by Mercy Airlife to Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa and then transported by air to Hennepin County Medical Center where he died.
Olson was taken to Mercy-North Iowa where he was treated and later released.
A memorial service for Winter will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at Immanuel Memorial United Church of Christ in Alden.
