WATERLOO - The groundbreaking ceremony for Kittrell Elementary School will be Friday at 3 p.m. May 23 on the Kittrell Prairie Grass Field located on Oregon Street.

The rain location will be the Kittrell Gymnasium. Parking will be available on Oregon and Easton Streets. The public is invited to attend.

The new building will open in the fall of 2008.

Construction for Kittrell Elementary was made possible by the 1 cent local option, approved by the Black Hawk County voters for major remodeling and new construction.
