CEDAR FALLS - Cedar Falls police are investigating vandalism to dozens of vehicles overnight Wednesday to Thursday morning. Vehicles parked in the College Hill area of town were marked with appeared to be paint used by car dealerships.
The paint didn't cause any permanent damage to the vehicles and should wash off the vehicles, said Cedar Falls Police Capt. Mike Hayes.
Police had tallied more than 50 affected vehicles before 9 a.m.today. The vehicles tagged were marked with sequential numbers.
"There appears to be no rhyme or reason to it," Hayes said.
Police dealt with two similar incidents in the last year in other areas of Cedar Falls, he added.
Hayes asks anyone with information on the vandalism to call 291-2515.
