ANAMOSA (AP) - Family members of a woman who was injured when a tree limb fell on her head during a picnic earlier this month has died.
Tara Lynn Bennett's father says she died Saturday night at University Hospitals in Iowa City.
Bennett was having a picnic with a friend at Wapsipinicon State Park on Sept. 19 when a 9-foot limb from a maple tree fell and hit her on the head.
She was taken to a local hospital before being transferred to University Hospitals, where she remained until her death.
Her father, Fred Pasker of Marion, described her as someone who never let anything get in her way and if there was a way to do something she would do it.
Pasker says his daughter, who was 27 years old, worked as a waitress and bartender at an Anamosa restaurant.
