IOWA CITY (AP) - A number of University of Iowa students were evacuated from a dormitory Thursday night after a suspicious package was discovered.
About 700 students were evacuated from Burge Residence Hall.
University spokesman Steve Parrott says he didn't know anything about the package. It was found around 4:45 p.m.
Campus and Iowa City Police, along with the Johnson County Bomb Squad, were called in to investigate the package.
No further details were immediately available.
