WATERLOO - A Cedar Falls man was taken to the hospital after he accidently drove his pickup into a brick wall outside the post office Thursday afternoon.
Police said it appeared Chad Morgan, 35, of 2519 Rownd St., lost control of his truck because of a medical condition.
Paramedics with Waterloo Fire Rescue took him to Allen Hospital for minor injuries, according to the accident report.
The stand-alone wall, which separates the loading area at the Waterloo Post Office, 300 Sycamore St., took about $7,500 in damage, the report states.
Morgan ran inside the post office to get his mail at about 3:45 p.m. and then returned to the truck. He told his wife, who was a passenger, he thought he was having a hot flash as he started to pull out, the accident states.
He then slumped to the side, and the truck accelerated into the wall, according to the report.
