WATERLOO - A Waterloo taxi company was held up over the weekend.
Police said a man walked into the business office of Yellow Cab, 110 W. 14th St., at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday and demanded money.
He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported.
The robbery came about one week after a gunman held up a Yellow Cab driver.
Officers are also investigating break-ins at two businesses Monday morning.
Burglars broke in through the front door of Tri-City Clothing, 713 Logan Ave., at about 1:35 a.m. Monday. They fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and clothes, according to the police report.
Then at 3:05 a.m., three men smashed a brick through the front door of the Holiday Station convenience store, 1604 La Porte Road. Once inside, they took a cash register containing money and $390 worth of Newport cigarettes, according to the police report.
The crime was captured on the store's surveillance camera.
The break-in was the second burglary to a La Porte Road convenience store in a matter of days.
On Friday, a tire iron used to break out the glass front door of the Clark Station, 1008 La Porte Road. The burglars damaged the cash register and took money and six cartons of Doral and Newport cigarettes.
