HAMPTON - A swimming advisory is in effect at Beeds Lake Beach.
Testing conducted Monday by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources showed that the lake exceeded standards for e.coli bacteria.
Swimming advisories were also posted at Black Hawk, Geode, Lake Keomah and Union Grove.
The DNR regularly monitors state beaches for e-coli and other bacteria.
