Train derailment spills corn near Greene

GREENE - Six train cars derailed south of Greene Tuesday morning, spilling grain along the road.

The derailment happened around 1:50 a.m. on an Iowa Northern railroad along Sand Hill Road. The cars were owned by Archer Daniels Midland.

The Butler County Sheriff's Office said the spill will shut down the rail line for a few days. No one was hurt and no cause has been determined in the derailment.
