WEST UNION - Authorities arrested a Postville resident Monday for allegedly trying to get a driver's license with fake documents.

Edwin Perez, 29, was charged with forgery by the Fayette County Sheriff's Department. He is being held in the Fayette County Jail.

Deputies went to the Treasurer's Office in the Fayette County Courthouse at about 10 a.m. to investigate a suspicious person.

Forgery is a Class D felony.
