DENISON (AP) - A 19-year-old woman accused of helping a man recruit two Nebraska teens for prostitution has pleaded not guilty to two counts each of human trafficking and pandering, and a charge of ongoing criminal conduct.

Marcia Ryan, labeled a prostitute by authorities, is being held in the Crawford County jail under $30,000 bond. She filed a written plea last week.

Ryan faces the same charges that Leonard Russell, the man she was accused of helping, was convicted of last month. Authorities say Russell and Ryan recruited the girls for prostitution and performing at strip clubs in Iowa.

The Iowa attorney general's office has said it was the first conviction of human trafficking under a state law that took effect in 2006.
