Today's forecast is chilly. It will be partly sunny with a high in the upper 30s and winds southwest 5-15 mph. Tonight it will be partly cloud with a low in the lower 20s and southwest winds 10-15 mph.

Watch today for a special Courier tabloid on the UNI Panther football team. It will highlight Saturday night's first round of the playoffs against New Hampshire.

Here's some things for you to know and do today as you continue celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday.

-- If today is your garbage pickup day in Waterloo, you need to wait until Monday to put your cans at curbside. If you pickup day was Thursday, you still have time. Thursday's route was moved to Saturday.

-- Hartman Reserve Nature Center in Cedar Falls will have its annual Mother Nature's Garage Sale today from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. You can help in one of two ways - shopping or donating. The Center is seeking items which are related to outdoors such as sporting equipment, lawn and garden supplies, camping equipment or any other slighly used items related to the enjoyment of nature. -- Children 12 and under can participate in Digging Dinosaurs at the Bluedorn Science Imaginarium, 322 Washington St., Waterloo from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The cost is free to Grout members, but $4.50 for adults and $3 for children otherwise. -- Gold's Gym in Waterloo (2332 Crossroads Blvd.) is offering free workouts today through Sunday. Certain restrictions may apply. Call 226-4653 for more information.

-- The American Red Cross blood center, 2530 University Ave., Waterloo, is offering free movie passes to anyone donating blood today from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. Call 1-800-448-3543 to make an appointment.

-- Black Hawks hockey fans can head down the road to Cedar Rapids for a rematch of their Thursday game. The pick drops there at 7:05 p.m.
