DUBUQUE (AP) - A University of Dubuque student aviator has died from he sustained in a Wisconsin plane crash.
Grant Vogt, a junior aviation student and Dubuque native, was injured nearly last week when a plane he was in crashed in Cassville, Wis.
Another University of Dubuque student, Cory Alsip, of Glendale Heights, Ill., was also injured in the crash.
University of Dubuque President Jeff Bullock says Vogt died around 3:40 p.m. on Tuesday. He says Vogt and his family are in the prayers of the school community.
Vogt and Alsip were severely burned when a university plane they were traveling in went down at the Eagle's Roost Resort in Cassville. It crashed into a tree and two cabins before it burst into flames. School officials have said the plane was approaching the Cassville airport before it crashed.
