CONRAD - Grundy County authorities arrested a Conrad man Wednesday following execution of a search warrant at 13468 330th St.

Matthew Steelsmith, 39, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, a serious misdemeanor; domestic abuse assault causing bodily injury, a serious misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor

Steelsmith remained in Grundy County Jail Thursday.

Steelsmith is also wanted in Tama County for five counts of third-degree harassment.

The Grundy County Sheriff's Office and the MidIowa Drug Task Force made the arrest and investigation continues in the case.
