WATERLOO - A man was apparently shot in the leg Saturday morning in Waterloo. Police and rescue officials were called to 223 Hope Ave.at about 9:20 a.m. for a report of a man shot.

A woman called police and reported that she returned home to find Terrell Manning, 32, injured.

Officers learned that Manning had been in the house when a person forcibly entered the home and shot him in the leg with a handgun.

Manning was treated and released from a local hospital.

The case remains under investigation.
