GRUNDY CENTER - Linda Joanne Getting, 62, of Grundy Center, died Friday, Nov. 28.

She was born June 19, 1946, in Laramie, Wyo., daughter of Donald and Laura Wynona Bird McCoy. She married William Getting.

Mrs. Getting graduated from Laramie High School in 1964. She lived in Wellsburg and Grundy Center, and worked in real estate. She and her husband owned the Park Place Maid Rite, then owned and operated an over-the-road truck and trailer business. She returned to Grundy Center in 2006 and opened her own Taekwondo school.

Survived by: her husband; three sons, Gareck of Holland, Danny (Penny) of Kansas City, Mo., and Robert (Doreen) of Grundy Center; a daughter, Jennifer (Randy) Dittmer of Grundy Center; a stepdaughter, Pam Billerbeck of Gladbrook; eight grandchildren; a great-grandchild; three sisters, Carol (Mike) Sloan of Higley, Ariz., Peggy (Kevin) Newman of Payson, Ariz., and Donna (John) Perez of Leavenworth, Kan.; and a brother, David (Claire) McCoy of Laramie.

Memorial services: will be held at a later date.
