WAVERLY - Robert Paul Haugh, 75, of Waverly, died Saturday, Aug. 9, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo.
He was born May 5, 1933, in New Hampton, son of Clarence and Pearl Elliott Haugh. On Nov. 19, 1955, he married Marjorie Montgomery in Long Prairie, Minn.
Mr. Haugh attended school in New Hampton and in 1955 went to printing school at Midland Linotype, Charles City. He worked at The Waterloo Courier, Boone, and finally Waverly, doing linotype printing. He then started his own business called Bob's Lock and Key which he operated in Utah, Wyoming, Texas and Waverly. From 1998 until 2006 he was employed at Casey's, where he made pizzas.
Survived by: his wife; three sons, Bob Jr. (Jennie) of Nashua, Jim of Mount Pleasant, Utah, and Dave (Linda) of Chesapeake, Va.; three daughters, Sue (Lynn) Cowden of Waukee, Cindy Haugh of Waterloo and Becky Keller of Clarksville; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Roy (Anne) of Annapolis, Md.; and two sisters, Pauline Mackamul of Highland, Calif., and Janice Dana of New Hampton.
Preceded in death by: three brothers, Don, Richard, and Jerry Lee in infancy; and two sisters, Donna Rainey and Mary Lou Haugh.
Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly, with burial in New Hampton Cemetery, New Hampton. Public visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
