WASHBURN - Joseph William Fodor, 43, of Washburn died Saturday, June 27, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

He was born Aug. 10, 1965, in Denver, Colo., son of Elmer Joseph and Rosemarie Fodor. He married DeeAnn Niedert in Des Moines on Feb. 14, 1991. He was formerly employed at Airgas.

Joe loved the outdoors, hunting, camping, fishing and loved to travel. Joe was a great storyteller and conversationalist. Joe appreciated his family, friends, church and pets.

He is survived by and dearly missed by his wife; his son, Michael (Lexie) of Waterloo; daughter, Cassondra of Washburn; sister, Kathy (Rich) Innman of Colorado; brother, Michael Fodor of Colorado; in-laws, Allen and Linda Niedert, LaDean Niedert, Troy (Kim) Niedert, Tasha (Doug) Davies, Raquel (Larry) Sash; nieces and nephews, Nathan, Jarrett, Sarah, Eric, Brandon (Mindy), Justin, Alex, Zachery, Nichole, Brandie and Brianna; and great-nephews, Blake and James.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, at Cornerstone Foursquare Church, 707 20th Ave., S.W., Independence.
