TRIPOLI - Wendell Redies, 73, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Tripoli, passed away at home after a long illness on Dec. 26, 2008.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley; son, Steve Redies; daughters, Rhonda Redies and Shelley (Gary) Hill; two grandchildren, Tiffany Redies and Ryan Hill; and one sister, Florine Kirchhoff of Tripoli.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Heraldean; and a brother, Kenneth. Wendell retired from John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Jan. 3, 2009, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 2745 N. 32nd St., Mesa, AZ 85213.
