WATERLOO - Larry J. Hare, 55, of Waterloo, died Thursday, Oct. 2, at Allen Memorial Hospital of natural causes.

He was born Oct. 31, 1952, in Waterloo, son of Lawrence and JoAnn Yarrington Hare.

He graduated West High School in 1970 and attended Iowa State University. Mr. Hare had worked at Rath Packing Co., John Deere and later moved to Sunland, Calif., where he worked at Ralph's Grocery for 18 years.

In 2002 he returned to Waterloo and most recently worked in accounting at the Ramada Inn.

Survived by: his parents of Waterloo; and a sister, Denise "DeeDee" Hare of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: a brother, Jim Allen; and his grandparents, Floyd and Mabel Hare and David and Katherine Yarrington.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Cedar Valley Community Church, with cremation to follow. Family inurnment will be at a later date in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Locke Funeral Home.
