WAVERLY -Robert C. Mowery, 81, of Waverly, died Friday, Aug. 15, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo.

He was born Sept. 18, 1926, in Sherburn, Minn., son of Clarence and Myrtle Jose Mowery. He married Ceola Schmitz Frost on Jan. 27, 1971.

Mr. Mowery worked at Potters Ice Cream in Waterloo. He received his real estate license in 1972 and worked with Bill Ramsey Realtors for several years. He owned and operated Mowery Country Realtors, retiring in 1998.

He was a past president of the Bremer-Butler-Chickasaw Board of Realtors.

Survived by: his wife; two daughters, Robin (Monte) Miller of Janesville and Terri (Russ) Stokes of Indianola; three sons, Larry (Sherry) Frost of Waterloo, Mike (Jackie) Frost of Land O Lakes, Fla., and Jim (Gabrielle) Frost of Cambridge, Minn.; 14 grandchildren; a brother, Harvey of Waterloo; and two sisters, Hazel (Lester) Dawson of Waterloo and Clarice "Peggy" (Guy) Johnson of Boone.

Preceded in death by: two brothers, Hugh in infancy, and Lewis; and two sisters, Irene Grabenbour and Minerva Powers.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Waverly, with burial in Oakland Cemetery, rural Janesville. Public visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly.
