HAZLETON - Marjorie Ann (Boge) Raye, 43, of Hazleton, formerly of Earlville, died Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, at the Buchanan County Health Center, Independence, following a short illness.

Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Earlville, by the Rev. Herbert Tegeler. Family will greet friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday with a Scripture service at 7 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at Clifton-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Earlville. Burial: St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Earlville.

Marjorie was born Nov. 13, 1964, in Dubuque, the daughter of James and Theresa (Nefzger) Boge. Graduating from Maquoketa Valley High School in 1983, she studied accounting at Upper Iowa for two years. Marjorie was united in marriage to Edwin Raye on Oct. 28, 2000, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Earlville. She enjoyed working in finance and business, most recently as the office manager for H&R Block, Independence.

Marjorie enjoyed spending time with family and friends and they were an important part of her life. She enjoyed jewelry making, reading, music and singing in the church choir.

Marjorie is survived by her husband, Ed Raye of Hazleton; her parents, Jim and Theresa Boge of Earlville; five sisters, Julie (Craig) Davis of Delhi, Connie (Lonnie) Helms of Walker, Karen (Paul) Fransen of Plano, Texas, Elaine Boge of Earlville and Jolene Boge of Monticello; her father-in-law, Edwin F. Raye of Elmhurst, Ill.; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Chaidez of Downers Grove, Ill., and Kathleen Cuca of Philadelphia; and many nieces and nephews.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Anna Marie Raye.

A memorial fund has been established in Marjorie's name.
