WATERLOO - Sandra Kay Stitt Hanson, 66, of Waterloo and Las Vegas, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.
She was born May 20, 1942, in Waterloo, daughter of Clyde L. and Fonda Burk Stitt. She married Norman Hanson on July 14, 1979, at the Little Brown Church, Nashua.
She graduated from Waterloo West High School and attended Grace College, Winona Lake. She was operations officer at Valley and Pioneer Bank; tried floral design; worked in customer service for Merck Pharmaceuticals; and was a Realtor for Century 21 in Waterloo. She attended Grace Brethren Church and was a member of Shadow Hills Baptist Church, Las Vegas. She also won the Miss Waterloo contest in 1960.
Survived by: her husband; a son, Troy (Olga) Calease of Eldora; three daughters, Shari (William) Goldstine, Lori (Kendall) Haynie and Christy (Jerry) Daughtery, all of Las Vegas; 11 grandchildren, Brandon, Corey and Jacob Goldstine, Alex and Mariela Calease, Kendall, Matthew, Tyler and Caleb Haynie and Blaze and Brecken Daughtery; her mother of Waterloo; her father of Marshalltown; a brother, Steve (Sharon) Stitt of Waterloo; and a sister, Vicki (Allan) Clinton of Las Vegas.
Services: 1 p.m. Monday at Grace Brethren Church, preceded by burial at noon in Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will greet friends after the service at the church. Locke Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
