WAVERLY - Lolita Lee Christoffersen, 73, of Waverly, formerly of Denver, died Wednesday, July 1, at St. Marys Hospital, Rochester, Minn., of a cerebral hemorrhage of the brain stem.

She was born June 16, 1936, in Waterloo, daughter of Mark and Grace Wilson Muir. On Sept. 17, 1956, she married Jim Christoffersen in San Diego.

She graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1956 and farmed with her husband south of Denver from 1971 to 1986. She was the sole proprietor of Granny's Hen House consignment shop for several years. She also worked in retail fashion sales and was a homemaker.

Survived by: her husband; a son, Randy of Long Beach, Calif.; a daughter, Kimberlee Christoffersen of Sacramento, Calif.; two grandchildren; a great-grandson; two sisters, Elaine Wehde of Des Moines and Ardith Carlson of Florida; and a brother, Anthony "Tony" Muir of Arizona.

Preceded in death by: a son, Rick.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Paul United Church of Christ, with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo. Public visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Denver.
