BEAMAN - Mary Jo Lynch, 73, of rural Beaman, died Saturday, May 24, at Israel Hospice House, Ames.
She was born Nov. 24, 1934, in Rock Island, Ill., daughter of J.R. and Helen Strupp Moseley. On Aug. 4, 1956, she married Dean E. Lynch at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Marshalltown.
Mrs. Lynch graduated from Villa DeChantel, Rock Island, in 1953, and later attended Marycrest College. She and her husband farmed for 42 years near Beaman. She also was employed at DeKalb Seed, Beaman. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and St. Henry's Catholic Church, both in Marshalltown.
Survivors include: her husband; two daughters, Danice (Jack) Zern of rural Conrad and Kathy Jo (Mark) Button of Elizabeth, Colo.; a son, Rick (Linda) of Boone; eight grandchildren; a great-grandson; a sister, Judy Allen of Inver Grove Heights, Minn.; and a brother, John Moseley of Rock Island.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Henry's Catholic Church, Marshalltown, with private family burial in Badger Hill Cemetery, Gladbrook. Public visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Mitchell Family Funeral Home, Marshalltown.
