TRIPOLI -Richard Allen Murray, 59, of Tripoli, died Saturday, Aug. 16, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo, of natural causes.

He was born Sept. 9, 1948, in Manchester, son of Charles and Margaret Asmus Murray. He married Rebecca Spears on Feb. 4, 1972, in Denver.

Mr. Murray attended Tripoli High School and had worked for Featherlite Trailers in Nashua. He later went to work for Omega Cabinets in Waterloo.

Survived by: his wife; four sons, Roger (Stephanie) of New London, Scott (Kay) of Elma, Joshua (Jenny) of Waverly and Joseph of Tripoli; 11 grandchildren; and a sister, Susan (Steve) Kuehl of Des Moines.

Preceded in death by: a son, Jason; a grandson; and his parents.

Private family services: Wednesday at Rettig Funeral Chapel, Tripoli, followed by cremation. Private family inurnment will be at a later date. Public visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
