LAWLER - Arnold "Arnie" Bodensteiner, 90, of Lawler, died Wednesday, Sept. 17, at New Hampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, New Hampton.

He was born April 4, 1918, on the family farm near St. Lucas, son of Ben and Rose Rausch Bodensteiner. On Sept. 29, 1942, he married Ruth Wenthold at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church, Festina.

Mr. Bodensteiner received his education at St. Luke's Catholic School, St. Lucas. He farmed north of Lawler and also hauled livestock for area farmers

Survived by: his wife; two daughters, Inez Ann (Thomas) Mihm of Eagan, Minn., and Eileen Elizabeth (Carl) Huber of West Union; a son, Wayne (June) of Lawler; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five sisters, Corina Deeny of Waterville, Minn., Alice Einck of Rochester, Minn., Lorraine (Ken) Kuennen of Decorah, Evelyn (Lawrence) Elsbernd of Calmar and Marian (Dennis) Heying of Hawkeye; and a brother, Linus (Rita) of New Hampton.

Preceded in death by: a sister, Elizabeth Schaufenbuel; and a brother, Dennis.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Lawler, with burial in the church cemetery. Public visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home, New Hampton, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. Scripture service. Visitation also an hour before services Saturday at the church.

Memorials: may be given to the New Hampton Nursing and Rehab Center, 703 S. 4th Ave., New Hampton, IA 50659.
