CHARLES CITY - Anna Mildred Knapp, 88, of Desert Hot Springs, Calif., formerly of Charles City, died Monday, Nov. 3, at Eisenhower Memorial Hospital, Rancho Mirage, Calif.

She was born March 20, 1920, in Minnesota, daughter of Charles and Olga Will Conner. She married Troy L. Knapp on Jan. 12, 1948, in Charles City. He died Dec. 30, 2002.

Mrs. Knapp and her husband farmed north of Nashua, retiring in 1997. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Charles City.

Survived by: a son, Lonnie (Nancy) of Desert Hot Springs; a daughter, Shirley (Joel) Rasmussen of Clear Lake; and four grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: a grandson.

Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Methodist Church, Charles City, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Nashua. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home, Nashua, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.
