Slifka, 63, of Waterloo, died Friday, Oct. 10, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home of cancer; services 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Edward's Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery; military rites will be conductedc by Evansdale AMVETS Post 31 and Waterloo AMVETS Post 19; visitation 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, 233-3393, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service, and for an hour before services Monday at the church; memorials to the church or Cedar Valley Hospice.
