Searching for the perfect bridal gown? A recent survey by Oprah.com revealed that you can find happiness without breaking the bank.

n 57 percent of more than 3,000 respondents said they paid $500 or less for their dress.

n 70 percent say they'd pick the same dress if their wedding were tomorrow.

n 98 percent said "no thanks" to their mother's gown, although about a quarter hoped to hand down theirs to a daughter.

But to be fair, here's a reality check:

n 19 percent thought the search was "a stress-inducing nightmare."
